My name is Mary Sledd and I am a native Austinite - 3rd generation. I happily photograph weddings, bridals, and engagement portraits. My style is classic and modern and I use a photo journalistic approach.The Sledd Wedding Photography studio is located in trendy South Austin near Lamar and Oltorf. South Congress, Long Center Park and Zilker are all near by and make great backgrounds for engagement and bridal portraits, but I'm also happy to travel. I strive to make great photos for all of my brides and I love my job.

My photography career began at the Austin Chronicle. The paper hired me to photograph rock stars. Aside from the job I have now - I cannot imagine a more fullfilling way to fill my time. The newspaper kept me busy through college and I began working for national magazines after gradation. My introduction to weddings was quite accidental! A dear friend asked me to photograph her wedding I just could not say no. Thus my introduction to Wedding Photography.

Outdoor weddings in Austin Texas are my favorite! I love working at Mercury Hall, Villa Antonia, Vintage Villas, Nature's Point, Vista on Seward's Hill, Star Hill Ranch, Laguna Gloria, Mayfield Park, Red Coral Ranch and lots of other great places around town.
