The Barr Mansion is one of my favorite Austin wedding venues! They serve all organic locally sourced food and the grounds are gorgeous! This wedding was extra special for me because the bride and groom are old friends. I met Annelies in high school and Ben entered my life just after college. It is hard for me to imagine a more perfect couple! They are so clearly in love it brings me great joy.

This wedding featured bouquets, boutonnieres and table decorations made from fresh vegetables – asparagus, flowering cabbage and eggplants, hydrangeas and orchids.

Green Pastures Wedding : Stacey and Brent

South Austin treasure, Green Pasture, was the perfect backdrop for this wedding. The bride choose many lovely peacock details to bring the even together. The bridesmaids wore purple dresses and the groomsman’s tuxes had tails. Something that always puts a smile on my face. The guests escort cards featured peacock feathers and the wedding cake featured purple flowers. At all of the weddings I photograph I make a special effort to be sure that I have a nice portrait of the parents of the bride and groom. From my own experience, I was very disappointed that my photographers did not take the time to do a nice portrait of my mother and her date. The identical twin boys were perfect little angels and fell asleep just in time to miss the Icecream bar. I had never seen Green Pastures do an Icecream Bar, but I was impressed!

This wedding was a HOT one! I thought about melting, but instead I decided to take tons of awesome documentary wedding photos at the awesome Austin wedding! These two are so cute. Angela wore a strapless dress and walked down the aisle with pink and green peonies. Chris and his groomsmen were looking very fashionable in black suites and pink ties. Chris and Angie’s dog was the flower puppy. He was very well behaved. This was my first time to photograph a wedding at the Chateau Bellvue and I was very impressed. The catering staff at the venue did a great job of making sure everything ran smoothy. The cake was very yummy and was from Central Market South. I didn’t know they do cakes, but apparently they do! This wedding was a joy to photograph! It was fun to get to see this young couple exchanges vows + rings.

Tip : Wedding Handkerchief

Wedding handkerchief’s make a great gift for yourself or other members of your bridal party. If you are expecting tears of joy during your ceremony you should carry a handkerchief down the aisle with you instead of a wad of toilet paper. It will photograph better and will be a nice keepsake. If you are sentimental you may want to ask for a hankie from your grandparents or have one embroidered for the occasion. If you use blue thread it could be your something blue. Most of the hankies on the sites below cost between $17 – $25.
